What we collect
- Contact and business information you give us: restaurant name, address, cuisine type, your name, mobile number, and email.
- Business data you upload for your audit: POS exports, sales reports, supplier invoices, menus, and similar operational records.
- Messages you exchange with us by SMS or email.
How we use it
For one purpose: analyzing your restaurant's profitability and delivering your audit and insights. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with third parties for their marketing, and we do not use your business data to train AI models.
SMS / text messaging program
- Opt-in: you consent to receive texts from malai by texting the keyword MALAI (or AUDIT) to +1 (669) 361-1140, or by entering your mobile number in our signup form, which states we will text you your upload link.
- What we send: your signup link, your secure data-upload link, one-time verification codes, and your profit insights. Message frequency varies and is low (typically a few messages per month).
- Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Opt-out: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at [email protected].
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers that run malai: cloud hosting and database (Supabase, Cloudflare), SMS delivery (Twilio), and AI analysis providers processing your data solely to produce your audit. Each is bound to use your data only to provide the service.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while you use malai. Text DELETE to our number or email [email protected] at any time and we will erase your account and every uploaded file within 7 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, stored in access-controlled infrastructure, and upload links are private, unguessable, per-restaurant URLs.
